Forbidden Planet was a 1950's science fiction box office success, containing a mixture of technological paranoia (computers and technology ultimately destroyed the galaxy's most advanced race) and optimism (space flight is ubiquitous, mankind is flourishing, and Robby the Robot is every housewife's dream come true).

The film begins with a very squeaky-clean and positive view of science and technology.

The first piece of "alien" technology we are introduced to is Robby the Robot. Robby is another perfectly crafted work -- he is self-sufficient and perfectly loyal to his human masters. When we are first introduced to the rest of the technology of the Krell, it too is pristine. It shows no signs of wear and tear, despite its incredible age. It was perfectly crafted millions of years ago, and is entirely self-sustaining.

TO CUT A LONG STORY SHORT

When is a child more likely to throw a tantrum?  Do adults throw tantrums too? teenagers? toddlers? ...

Supermarkets are a favourite place for lots of children to have a temper-tantrum. In the following commercial the make use of this well-known fact to try and sell their product:



Lots of people in the Valencian Community are angry at the cuts in education and other social services. However they do not throw tantrums: they take to the streets and they hold demonstrations instead. Yesterday, in class, we listened to a piece of news about the difficult situation lots of school are going through because of the lack of funding. ITSY BITSY, TEENY WEENY

ITSY BITSY & TEENY WEENY are informal ways of saying very small, minute, tiny...
We heard the expression teeny weeny in the video about how to drop 5 pounds wicked fast, remember?
In class I also  told you about the 1960s song  Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, 
the story of a shy girl wearing a revealing polka dot bikini at the beach and not wanting to be seen.
