DOWN UNDER

The term Down Under is a colloquialism used to refer to Australia. The term comes from the fact that the country is in the Southern Hemisphere, 'below' many other countries on the globe. The persistence of the media use of the term has led to its wide embrace and usage.

The bilby - also known as rabbit-eared bandicoot- is an endangered marsupial native to Australia, and it's also the local alternative to the Easter Bunny.   In order to raise awareness, there is a chocolate company that sells chocolate Easter Bilbies and donate some cents with every cholcolate bilby purchase to support Save the Bilby Fund.
